Lorcana Wilds Unknown — The Pixar Debut Hits This Friday
Lorcana's seventh set drops Friday May 15. Wilds Unknown is the one Lorcana fans have been waiting for. Pixar shows up to the party.
What's New
Wilds Unknown brings Toy Story, Brave, The Incredibles, and Monsters Inc. into Lorcana for the first time. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Lenny, Merida, the Parr family. 242 cards total. The prereleases have been running this week and ended yesterday at most stores.

The set also introduces a new art style for the Enchanted variants. Ravensburger is calling it Lore Nouveau. Think Art Nouveau, but built for Lorcana. Organic lines, fluid shapes, the kind of art that looks like it belongs framed on a wall instead of stacked in a binder. The early reviews on Reddit have been positive across the board. It is the most ambitious visual direction Lorcana has taken yet.
The Chase Cards
Three you will hear about a lot:
Buzz Lightyear (Disney Parks exclusive edition). A special promo tied to a parks distribution. Already trading hands for premium prices.

Woody — Jungle Guide. Store Championship Exclusive Promo, with both a non-holo and a holo version. The holo only goes to Top 8 finishers in store championships. Casual collectors are already chasing the non-holo, competitive players are chasing the Top 8 holo.

Merida — Formidable Archer. The Brave headliner. Strong gameplay piece, strong art, easy to pull for.

Supply
Retailers are reporting one-to-twelve box per-customer caps. That tells you everything about how the allocation is going. Ravensburger is managing supply more carefully than they have in past sets, which is the right call after watching Pokemon set the example for how scarcity drives interest.
Street is Friday May 15 online. We have pre-orders in for the Booster Display, the Illumineer's Trove, the Goofy playmat, and the Merida playmat. If you reserved something with us, your spot is good. If you didn't, this is one to come ask about.
Why Pixar Matters Here
Lorcana has been a Disney TCG since launch, but Pixar was conspicuously absent. Adding it now feels less like an expansion and more like the set Lorcana was always supposed to grow into. Pixar fans who never picked up a Lorcana card are going to walk into a shop this weekend asking about Buzz and Woody. That is a different customer than the one who showed up for the Disney Villains set. That is the customer the game needed to broaden into.
