Perfect Order drops March 27 and I've been getting a lot of questions about it. Is it worth picking up? How does it compare to Ascended Heroes? Here's where I land.
What's In the Set
This is the second Mega Evolution set tied into Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The headliner is Mega Zygarde ex, with Mega Starmie, Mega Clefable, and Mega Skarmory rounding things out. At only 124 cards, it's a noticeably smaller set than what we've been getting — and that's actually one of the best things about it.
The Mega Zygarde ex SIR — the card everyone's going to be chasing.
My Take
Coming off Ascended Heroes, this is a different animal. The community is landing around "solid but not spectacular" and I think that's fair. It doesn't have that same density of massive chase cards, so if you're buying boxes purely to chase a crazy pull, temper expectations a bit.
But here's what people are sleeping on. At 124 cards, this is one of the most collector-friendly sets we've gotten in a while. If you've ever tried to master set a 200+ card expansion, you know that grind. Perfect Order is actually approachable. Pull rates have been looking solid across the board, and the illustration rare artwork is still top tier. Even without an internet-breaking chase card, the overall quality of what you're pulling is strong.
The card art in this set is no joke.
Competitive players — keep an eye on Mega Skarmory. Steel-type with Mega stats opens up some real potential. Investors, I'd be cautious — no standout chase means sealed probably won't appreciate like Ascended Heroes did.
Release day is always one of the best days at the shop — everyone comparing pulls, talking about the set, just enjoying the hobby together. Whether you've been collecting for years or this is your first set, swing by and let's talk about it.
