Warhammer Eye of Terror: The Iron Warriors Are Back
Image: Games Workshop
The Eye of Terror landed Saturday and it's everything 10th Edition was building toward. Iron Warriors got their update. Chaos Knights, Imperial Knights, Ad Mech, and Space Marines all got new Detachments. And the Defiler finally got the refresh Chaos players have been waiting years for.
What Actually Shipped
Reign of Iron is the campaign book carrying the release. It's War for the Cadian Gate, with lore on the Adeptus Mechanicus trying to hold the line and rules for apocalyptic-scale battles.
The Iron Warriors are the star faction. Kravek Morne as the new warlord, a fully redesigned Defiler kit with pose and head and weapon options, new Mutilators, an upgrade sprue, a Combat Patrol, and themed faction dice.
On the Knight side, the new Knight Destrier kit dropped alongside the Freeblade Company detachment for Imperial Knights, which leans into durability and Feel No Pain 6+. Chaos Knights got the Helhunt Lance, where the bigger war machines share aura abilities with their War Dogs. Ad Mech and Space Marines both picked up new Detachments too.

Why This One's Hitting
The Defiler refresh is what everyone's talking about. It hasn't been touched in what feels like forever, and the new kit finally makes it feel like a centerpiece daemon engine instead of a relic you tolerate on the shelf.
Kravek Morne also lands perfectly in the Iron Warriors identity. Direct, aggressive, no nonsense, no theatrics. And the Iron Warriors Combat Patrol is stacked. Warpsmith, five Havocs with heavy weapons, five Chaos Terminators, ten Legionaries. That's a usable army core in one box and a legit entry point for anyone who's been waiting to get into Chaos Space Marines.

Heads Up on Allocations
GW tagged the Collector's Edition, faction dice, and battalion boxes as "while stocks last" from preorder. What we've seen this weekend confirms that language was not a suggestion. Some items ship in, sell through in the first day, and don't come back.
If there's something specific you've been eyeing from this wave, let us know and we'll check the shelf or get you on a waitlist. This is also the last major 10th Edition drop before 11th Edition arrives in June with the Armageddon starter box. If you've been sitting on a Chaos project, this is a good time to finish it.
